No man I have one of my psp stuck on 2.81 aswell so we just have to wait. I've looked around but the ones out there are fakes and will brick your psp so as desperate as you are to play homebrews, please be patient and don't do anything that will result in a useless psp.

No sorry there is only a 2.80 downgrader. By the way todis, hombrew is custom games made by people for the psp and other devices and such.

Hey solidsnak I have a psp FW 2.60 (TA-082) but I upgraded to FW 2.80 Can I use this downgrader to get to 2.71? Cuz I know I cant go below 2.50 with a TA-082.

acually you can have 1.0 and 1.5 psp firmwares on a TA-082 and there just came a new release for a 2.71 downgrader. The new 2.80 downgrade will not work with your mobo(TA-082). It only works on 79 to 81 sorry. But just so you know the new 2.80 downgrader isnt well very good. The person who created it 0okm an awsome man, was in a hurry to release it and missed a few things so a lot of people got their psp's bricked. The things he missed were to say if you were missing a file or put it in the wrong place so you have to do everything very precisely or you fail. In his next release he will fix this so people get a second chance.

i thought a much safer easy downgrader was released not long ago..

No i dont think so.. There might be one but i checked 0okm's site and everywhere else i know and i didnt find a safer one

i would think that the next fw they downgrade will be 3.00 but thats just me (and ill be pretty pissed if it isn't!) i think that 2.81 and 2.82 are a lot like 1.51 and 1.52 as in there are no downgraders for them but there are downgraders for other higher firmwares

it does but you have to click on homebrew applications or homebrew games on the left hand side

hi new to this forum and just wondered i downloaded a psxpsp title from a torrent site i realise u cant play isos and stuff on the v2.81 but i loaded it anyway and normally all the psp says is corruot data but this is telling me to upgrade to v3.01 not sure if this will work or not. not new to homebrews and stuff jutst havent heard of this before ta

So by this forum, I see there isn't a 2.81 downgrader, but is there a way to play ISOs (that I use to play on 1.50) on 2.81? If yes, where do I get it?
Whoever gives me a real answer gets a FREE iPod or any other electronic device.

Is there a later version on the PSP that can downgrade to 2.80 or less?

Hiya peeps, I know I'm gonna annoy someone with this question but I have been reading and reading and reading lots of contradictory infomation, and I just want a straight simple answer from some-one who knows what they're on about, so take a deep breath and be patient with me.
I have a 2.81
Am I right to say there is nothing I can do to get homebrew?
Can I upgrade then downgrade from the higher firmware?
Will I have to wait for a version 3.xx downgrader which I upgrade to then downgrade back to use homebrew?
Am I correct in saying that if anyone who has firmware more than 2.80 they are stuffed for now until the genius's come out with another downgrade hack?
Am I right to say you are fed up answering the same questions all the time.
If I keep coming back to this site can I stop trawling around all the other crap to find what I want!
