since u knew my advice is use the 2.71 easy installer
http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/525 - 2.71 update eboot
http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/755 - 2.71 easy downgrader
first download the eboot the connect you psp to your pc the go to PSP/GAME there u make a new folder and name it UPDATE then put the eboot there remember the file must be in capsafter that unplug the psp from your pc then go to the game menu chose memory stick and run the update and make sure u have the ac adaptor pluged in
once done plug your psp back to the pc and install the downgrader useing the instaler all u will need to do is chose the drive the psp is pluged into and wait.once done disconnect the psp and click photo and once u get red screen wait till the psp is off then turn it back on and config psp and DONE
4get psp's im on dat 360 now cha dig!!

NO! Upgrade to 2.0 instead, and use that downgrader. Its the safest.
There is a guide on how to do so on these forums, please use the search function.

Downgraded 2.00 to 1.5: 11
Downdated 2.71 to 1.5: about 14
ta-082 homebrew dev installs: around 30
A lot of ta-082's in daygo.
Thanks for asking
The 2.00 to 1.5 has been proven to be safest. Put the right files in the right place and it is almost guaranteed to work

Grow up, this isn't a peeing contest.
I don't need anyone to "back me up". I know what I'm doing and I know what I'm talking about. Used correctly the 2.0 to 1.5 downgrader is the safest to date.
Use the MPH downgrader, psp-hacks has all the files you'll need
its funny how "over 20 times" became 46 there...
You should start saying over 40.

Yeah, kinda like the ones who have to drop an arbitrary number down then backtrack and say they meant another because of an ego complex
DNSAT: Here you go bro
http://forums.qj.net/f-guides-hacks-home...-faq-18205.html
Thats what I used, and have been using.
and its not a 2.00/2.01, its a 2.00 downgrader
Edit: Good day.

No the ta-082 only came with firmware 2.50+ I believe
Thats probably why you can only do a downgrade on one that far down (to 2.50)
Heres how to tell if you have a ta-082:
http://psp.about.com/od/homebrew/ig/TA-0...orial/index.htm
Edit: Also, if there are no numbers there at all, then you do not have a ta-082
Edit 2:
