Computer: Compaq Presario V2650CA Laptop
Running Windows XP Home Service pack 2
100Gb Hard drive
1024mb of Shared Ram
128mb (shared) Video Card

Ok, First Problem: I can't Move any files or folders on my desktop, or anywhere on my computer! (like drag and drop) But I can copy and paste.

Second Problem: My DVD/CD drive only shows up some of the time. And I have to reset my BIOS to default to see the drive again after it goes away. This happened after uninstalling sonic cd burner (software that came with the computer) and then I reinstalled it after, because of the problem.

A few little questions:
Can I run linux on an external hard drive? (FAT32) so my computer will have a choice between XP and SUSE linux

1. anyone having the same problems as me or am i just un-lucky?
