Well guys, I'm back. One of my friends has an Xbox 360 and a 19" LCD flat screen monitor (X2gen 19" widescreen computer monitor). He was wondering if there was any way to hook up the monitor to the Xbox 360, while getting the monitors full HD potential?

he can buy a vga adapter. microsoft sells one and the are some knock-offs as well. i have one and it works great. when ever he has it hooked up, he needs to go into the settings on the xbox dashboard to pick the resolution he wants.

the problem i have is that my widescreen only does 1440X900, and it looks stretched with some of the resolutions.

I'd get either a new monitor or spend the money for a good HDTV that does 1080p. Most of these HDTV's can do 1920X1080 at 60hz. You can even find a few that can do 72hz at that same resolution.

well, the thing is is that he got the 19" flatscreen for xmas and doesnt really care if he gets a new monitor for his computer. He is fine with his current one.

He was looking to use the monitor on things like roadtrips in the car. That way it is easy to transport and would give excellent resolution.
