Why can't some games get passed loading screens?

I've successfully burned about a dozen games and now am running into some problems.
I have the fliptop MagicSwap 3.6 and I burn with DVD Decrypter at 1x to be safe.
I noticed that Burnout 3 stopped halfway through the first loading screen.
However, I soon realized that it depends on the game I put in to boot it.
Now my problem is with The Warriors.
It too freezes at the ESRB warning.
However, none of my games seem able to boot it up.
Does it depend on size?
I tried the game that boots Burnout, but that doesn't work on this.
I also can't get Mercenaries or Marvel Ultimate Alliance to work either.
After I insert the discs after SwapMagic, the screen flashes red like it is going to boot, but never does.
Does my burner just suck today?
Or coincidentally did I pick 3 games that are difficult to get working?
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated :)

I have the same problem. What PS2 do you have?
(the code on the back of your ps2)

Yes, the serial number is hidden by the network adapter.
The problem you're having, with things not loading sounds similar to a problem I had with mine.
It turned out tha my laser was dying because I hadn't been using top quality media. I replaced that PS2 and now I use a hard drive instead.
I'd say the HD is a good solution for you too since you've already got a network adapter.

Would all of your things not load?
Or only some?
Because I have 19 working and 10 non-working games.
Thanks socat.
Anyone else have any other possibilities?

Yeah, It should be where that is now.. :P
But that doesn't matter all that much. I just thought that maybe the lazer could be weak on an older model.
I've read article about making the game smaller when burning it. You could try that out. In my experiance smaller games work better.
There should be a tutorial on this forum. But I used this one:
http://www.exploitstation.com/articles/cdvdgen%20inst.php
But if you search the forum for CDVDgen I think you'll find some topics.

are you using high quality media? try burning at 4x, i've heard that it is possible to burn too slowly. i too had problems with games not loading when i used low quality DVD-R discs.

I'm using Maxell DVD-R 8x 4.7GB.
I don't know whether or not that is high quality media.
I'll try the other program to make the game smaller and the 4x right now on a game that it starts playing, then freezes.
Then I'll try it on a game that doesn't boot up at all.
Does anyone know why when I tried booting Burnout 3 up, some games wouldn't do it, but Medal of Honor Frontline would successfully boot it? Does that have to do with size? I'm just curious because then maybe I just don't have any games that would properly boot up the games that get to the first loading screen just as Burnout did.
Lastly, I've noticed back-ups such as FF10, FF12, and RE4 aren't even recognized as PS2 games. I believe this is an entirely different problem. Any ideas why?
I know I just asked a lot of questions. Thanks to all who have answered my previous ones and to whoever will answer these :)

Alright, I did all of that and I came so close.
I came across a problem.
The same problem as this user had.
http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/3/127255
3rd page, 5th post.
The 7th poster on the 3rd page tells him to download a different version of CD/DVD GEN.
Is this what I need to do?
If so, any links?
Thanks again for all of the help I'm getting.

Well, I did do that.
However, if you are linking me to it again, I must have missed something.
I'll go and look now.
Thanks :)

Alright!
I got EVERYTHING done.
And I don't know how I could possibly mess this up but, I CAN'T FIND WHERE I SAVED THE FINAL ISO!
I save it to places I know where I'll find it, and its not there.
I tried saving it to desktop.
I can see it on the desktop while it is building... but once it is done, I watch it disappear.
I went to START SEARCH and pasted the iso name.
It is nowhere to be found.
I don't think that it is deleting either because my memory is going down every time I do it.
Any ideas of where to look?

Well it could be a file type you are saving and you have it hidden as default or I have heard of people getting iso's of the net and they are viruses that cant be found but if it is the same size as an iso that is highly unlikely.
