DVD+RW??

Ok i know my ps2 can read DVD+RW because i burn movies on DVD+RW all the time and watch them on my ps2 with SMS(i have a v10 ps2).

My problem is when i backup a game it dont work. I load up swam magic via exploit then i refresh the toc with a real ps2 game. I then swap for the backup thats on DVD+RW media and it will start to spin really slow then go back to the ps2 browser. Did i burn it wrong or can you just not backup games using DVD+RW media? The backup im trying to play is smackdown vs raw 07
