Both my kids have lego star wars II, which is supposed to support ad-hoc gaming. How do I actually get it to work. I made sure the network setup was set to ad-hoc and the channel was automatic. (I tried making them both 1 as well)

Then I tried "game sharing" .. and it just said searching for players forever. Then I tried starting the game on one and using game sharing on the other.. still didn't work. What do I do to actually let them play together?

good question. Yes.. when going to game sharing, both of the green lights turn on -- and there is no connection timeout. It just seems to hang on searching for players.

When the switch is off.. I get a connection error.
