okay im playing my ps2 after like 3months. it took like half-hour finding it and i finally found it under a bunhc of wires and controllers. so i connect the cable (he one that goes from ps2 to the power outlet). i see the red dot on my ps2 indication its funtional. usually, when i start the system up, i just gently press the I/O button and it goes green(thus meaning i can play it up now). However, now when i press it, ihave to press hard and it feels like the button is jammed somehow(and it never turns green).
then, i decided to open up my ps2 but it didnt help. i tried moving some things around but didnt help. however, this was this one piece thats on the lower-right-corner of this which looks dark white on one side and on the other side has like a small motherboard attached to it; also attached to this is a few wires. anyways, when i oened my ps2, this seemed to bery VERY loose and wouldnt fit anywhere (i wasnt sure where it would go). further, when i opened the ps2, i found a extrmely small white peice of square plastic which had a white fat dot on top of it. i know the despciription is very cnofusing so i uploaded several pics:
