I have the .DOL file for SNES9x GX version 0.0.4x, but I am wondering if I should go through the confusing process of making a .DOL file for version 0.0.5x. I read that version 0.0.5x fixed a bunch of problems that version 0.0.4x had with multiplayer support. I don't plan on playing any games with 3 or 4 players, but there are a number of 2-player games that i plan on playing.

On the other hand, i read where people have said that they've had issues with version 0.0.5x that version 0.0.4x did not have (such as saving), and that the games actually seemed to run better on 0.0.4x than on 0.0.5x. So anyway, should i stick with 0.0.4x or should i go with 0.0.5x instead?

Try them both, using different names for the same games .. then see what works best for you.
