what is the best format to use when taking them from tape to hard drive? AVI? these will prob be edited and burned to a dvd at a later date... is there also a standard size for these. they play back in Windows media player about a 5 inch by 6 inch area. If you go full screen from there you seem to loose some resolution. I am capturing with Nero. Camcorder is a nice Sony digital 8 a few years old linked to computer with a firewire. What is the best way preserve these home movies? Just got a new 320G hard drive to store them on... thanks!!!!!
