Make sure your battery is charged, then disconnect and reconnect power. While HOLDING the R button, slide the power switch. You should now be in recovery mode(if not, make sure you have the recovery folder in the x:\PSP\GAME folder). Go to run update at PSP\GAME\RECOVERY\eboot.pbp(or somethin like that). If you battery is charged and the 1.5 update is where it should be, you should see a screen saying its flashing. Let it sit until its done. When you reboot, it should be 1.50.

i get data is cuurrupted, cant start upgrade after putting the 1.5 eboot in the recov folder

the 1.5 eboot should be renamed as UPDATE.PBP or if that doesnt work try simply UPDATE

Well no help at all from that guy:

If you dont have a recovery folder in your game folder then you will have to create one with all 5 of the right files. The best way to create one of these folders is by downloading the Easy Installer for 3.03OE-A. It has an option to create the recovery foler. DO that, load up holding r and then recover.
