i am trying to decide between these two:

they both cost the same, which is a better choice for my slim ps2?

the only thing i'm worried about is, i used a slide card with my fat ps2 (i know it sucks) and now my laser is dead. so i'd rather spend a bit more money in the long run and make sure it keeps my laser going good (i use good quality media like verbatim too).

i don't want to get a modchip, because i am terrible with a soldering iron and it's much too expensive to send my ps2 to be modded for me.
