Hey guys, first off, sorry if this is posted in the wrong section I couldn't figure out where it goes.

Now for my question. I have a lot of game trailers that I want to put on a DVD so I can watch it on my HDTV. The files are in MPEG format. I was wondering if someone could tell me what program I should use or point me to a tutorial where I can learn how to do it.

To put simply, I want to take a whole bunch of MPEG movies and put it on a DVD-R.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hello.

If your files are in divx/avi format and your dvd player plays that format, they can be burned as a data dvd.

If the trailers are in mpeg1 or mpeg2 format or your player doesn't play DivX, you'll need to make a DVD compliant disk with authoring software like Nerovision (part of the Nero suite), TMPGEnc Author, or some other program.

(newest version of TMPG is not fully function in trial mode)

I'm not sure if the player plays DivX. I was planning on playing them on a Xbox 360. Is there a step by step tutorial for the programs you suggested?

If your player plays DivX files, it'll be stamped somewhere on the player along with DVD Video, mp3, compact disk audio, etc. It likely doesn't if you aren't aware of it.

So I make the videos DVD files with this TMP program and then burn it using Nero?

TMPG will burn a DVD as well. Or you can output a folder of video files, the default anyway, from TMPG and burn with Nero or ImgBurn. Or just use Nerovision which you may already have if you have the full Nero suite.
