I have avi's on my hd and my husband bought me dvd+r, but i don't have a dvd burner all I have is a cd-writer. Is it poss. to copy a avi to a dvd+r with a cd-writer? If someone can help me out with this I'd be greatful

No, there isn't. There is no software out there that will convert the recording laser from CD to DVD. If you believe the spam emails that get sent to you then go ahead and buy it, along with the body part enhancement pills.

well ken the body part enhancement pills do work, so the "spam e-mails" I must be getting about the software must work also. Oh and mser the link that you gave me didn't work, but thank-you for trying to be helpful, unlike others.

well thanks. But I asked a simple question, and that was for a little bit of help, and you, a senior member, made fun of me and if that is how you help ppl., they prob went and found someone who wouldn't make fun of them and help instead. This is a newbie section, for ppl who don't know too much about doing this kind of thing. But anyhow,I got the avi's burned to my cd-r's like I asked help on, after mser told me that I couldn't do it with dvd+r's, and that is what matters.

If this was a serious post then fine.
Oriphus' post was not poking fun; just asking a question to make you do some thinking. Often by getting the user to do some thinking on their own the solution makes more sense.

well it sure sounded like poking fun to me since mser had answered my question to begin with, and then helped with my second question. There was no reason for Oriphus to start making fun of, since he is a senior member, he should have either backed up mser's response, or not have even replyed, with the same as you.

Here jenig, im sorry. We just found it so funny. If you would've have stopped to think about it for one minute then you wouldve realised that people jsut dont buy DVD Writers for the fun off it. There is a purpose - to copy DVD's. You get it yet. Probably not. Anyway, as i said, im sorry, its not your fault your dumb, its just nature. ;-)

I'm sorry if the link didnot work, try this instead... go to the link of software on this page then video encoders, then download tmpgenc. hope this helps.
