what does boot.bin do in ISO games? do you need this file? im looking into deleting it in project 8 but i dont know what it does. will it affect the game in any way?

You can delete it. I has to do withh launching the update which we don't need to do.

Those I believe are required for the game. You find boot.bin in the update folder, so that's why it's not needed.

really? i found it right outside the update folder in the SYSDIR folder. next to eboot.bin.

Don't touch anything aside from the update folder. It's all game components.

Thats not true. You can touch movies and music as well as the UPDATE folder and pad files. Also the boot.bin

so is that the right boot.bin that im talking about cause its not in the update folder which i already deleted but its right in the same directory.

there is no boot.bin in the UPDATE folder. He made a mistake. You deleted the right one (outside the UPDATE folder)

Well. You can touch the movie folders, but they still are game components, and if you want to play a game like GTA, movie files are required for doing missions.
