PS2 modchips require a level of technical ability to install. By your post, I would suggest your contact a professional to install it for you or pursue an alternative mod (ie. Swap Magic, hard drive & HDLoader).

@newbi101 - you need to take more time on the spelling of your 'posts'.

@orthogonl - re my above post & your comments in my shoutbox profile, us mods are constantly chasing signatures/advertising etc etc, and links to other forums/sites is generally considered advertising or spam..
If a link is purely used as an occasional reference, then the mods don't see a problem with it, however only if it's in context of helping someone here, and there is help given here in conjunction with said offsite link.
For instance i post primarily in the DVD forums, i contribute to posts here, and only when necessary do i point someone to an external link, ie it's all about helping people here.
I'm not saying you're not helping here, it's just that particular post along with the sig that triggered my radar.

look, re-read my reply, i said it's 'considered' advertising, i didn't deliberately imply that it was advertising; then i said this 'I'm not saying you're not helping here, it's just that particular post along with the sig that triggered my radar.'
i use a lot of pictures in my posts now, mostly to just give people a subtle nudge to correct things or whatever..
As for AIM etc addresses, keep those off the forums too...

wow, the mods are being quite liberal on this post.
But i wouldn't push your luck buddy.
and to answer your question it take some skills to solder.
It is not just melting some metal wire onto something.
ever see how small the soldering points are for a PS2 modchip?
if not then look at this.

if that looks easy to you then go for it and see what happens to your PS2
