I have never even played on an Xbox, but now my daughter wants me to back up her games.

Which method would be the most appropriate for what I want to do, soft or hard mod?

HP Pavilion, AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 3800+ (2 CPUs), 4GB RAM, Windows 7 Professional.

If you hard-mod it might be slightly easier and cheaper. Easier for the solderless, (40-73$): just open your xbox put the chip in, close, all set. Cheaper is for people who have a soldering iron. Solder chips range from 20+

Legit site for good deals on modchips here.

plus with a chip you can write homebrew.

ravens1, I can get a Hyper X solderless for $24.99 at divineo.com. What else exactly will I need to hard-mod, and what will it cost?
