unlocked hd/ bad bios?

ok heres the deal.
i recently modded my xbox with a xecuter 2.6. i was messing with flashbios (like an idiot) and unlocked the harddrive before i flashed the chip with an alternate bios. well, i flashed the chip with an alternate bios and the flashing went well. however, when i boot up my xbox with the chip on i get a black screen after the xbox tries to boot 3 times. when i boot my xbox with my chip off i get an error 05 message. i was told in another forum that the reason for this is because the bios that i used were bad.

if i put a new chip in place of the old one, will the flashbios screen appear when i boot my xbox with the chip on.

ive been doing research and i cant find much information on how to use the external programmer so i'm trying to avoid using it.

also, my xbox is a v1.6 and i have heard that flashbios v3.03 does not work with 1.6a xbox's. could this be the problem?

A HD that was unlocked needs to be locked.

yeah i know that i need to lock it but i dont know how to do it because when i boot my xbox with the chip enabled, it tries to boot 3 times with a black screen before giving a FRAG error.
if i put in a new chip, will flashbios appear the same way that it did when i first installed my chip?

ive done a search on that topic and all of the results tell me to use a certain software while my xbox is running. the problem is that as of right now i have no access to my xbox because when i boot it up with the chip on, it attempts to boot 3 times before restarting.

on another forum i was told that:
1) my hdd is unlocked
2) the bios that i used were bad

so the only thing that i need to know is if i put a brand new xecuter 2.6 in my box, will the flashbios screen appear when i boot up. if this is the case then i could lock my hdd using the feature that appears on flashbios and i could flash my chip with a bios that would hopefully work.
