I?ve just installed the DMS4 SE Pro mod chip into my v15 SCPH-77001a slim ps2. My mobo is a 051-12. After installation and reassembly the ps2 was powered on and seemed functional and booted directly to the ?browse/configuration? menu. However, when I loaded a game it also went directly to the ?browse? menu. I also tried the proper bios flash disk image I created for the DMS4 SE Pro and it would not read that disk either and went directly to the ?browse? menu.
When I hold the square button during boot the screen does show the listing saying that the DMS4 has been disabled, however after this I still cannot load any media.
I?m not sure what the problem is can anyone please help me out, what is the problem, what can I replace to return to functionality, do I need a new dvd drive, how should I test/install it?
Thank you in advance to anyone with help to offer. I've been testing my wiring with a multimeter to verify connectivity and make sure there are no bridges - so far everything checks out ok.
I can't get the PS2 to read any media, I fiddled with the dvd drive a few weeks ago, but when I put everything back together it worked fine so I don't think it is the drive, but I'm not sure.
I have a good picture of the install to provide, but I'm not sure if I can include it as an attachment or not, is this possible? Or does the picture need to be supported on a web server?
