gta vice city loading probs

hi,
can anybody tell me why i cannot load gta vice city stories.i have tried numerous versions of the game and each one is the same.the icon comes up on the memory card but when you play, the screen goes blank and thats about it,it has not crashed as if you press home it asked do you want to end game.i have had loads of other top games to work but no matter what,this wont load.i have also tried liberty city and this has the same probs,i am running devhook .51 the newest one.
