Hello all, I havent played my PS2 in a really long time (around 5 years now) and at the time there was a kind of a mod chip that required soldering only two wires and then backups could be used by doing a sort of swap with a gameshark(Put in original...do something**I forgot this step**, then put in backup) and voila!
Ok, so I'm assuming that most swap type mod chips for the PS2 have similar instructions so if anyone can give me a quick hint on what to do in this situation I will be eternally grateful
Ok so I looked at this video on youtube but this doesn't help me much. First of all, I don't have a flip lid so there is a different swap method on my machine. Also, I'm not using swapmagic I'm using some type of modchip which I don't remember what it is, that is used together with a gameshark. I'm trying to not sound too stupid but I just can't remember the procedure.
It was similar to the swapmagic procedure but the swap was done a little differently using the gameshark
This is a guess, but insert the Gameshark disc, go to Start Game to the point where it tells you to insert your game disc, and hold the eject button and the LEDs will flash rapidly and the drive will eject. Quickly insert your backup disc.
Hmmmmmm, this sounds familiar but I don't have my gameshark cd anymore, only the memory card thingy :(
Maybe I can find one on ebay for cheap. Can any gameshark cd work or does it have to be a specific version?
