using umd emulator v.8c + devhook v0.51

i jsut got my psp v1.5 and im trying to run some iso but for some reason it crashes while trying to load in the iso.
i load in my iso w/ umd emu on system menu mode,then istart devhook and it tries to load but just crashes. Does anyone know or can help pleases do.

I am having the exact same problem..been at it for days now. devhook .5101 installed and working, firmware 3.02. Crashes at startup and when not it comes back: disk could not be read. have the demo umd inserted. have tried .cso and .iso Psp is an original 1.50. Hoping it is something with the settings: vshex devhook setting menu:
UMD image: emulation
CPU clock : 333/166 (have tried 222 too..)
UMD SFO ver : default
Menu on boot: off
Preload address
Firmware and remote port not supported
I can escape the devhook to be back at 1.50
So starting devhook again, settings:
UMD select File emulation fifa07.iso
Firmware 3.02 (MS or Flash+MS)
CPU clock 222/111
Bootmode (why do I get 3 choices here???) XMB MENU
Underneath it reads this:
UMD file : ms0:/ISO/Fifa 07.cso
UMD-SFO: /kd/pspcnf_tbl_dh_txt
reboot: flash0:/dh/302; ms0:/dh/302/f0 : ms0:/dh/05
Flash0,1: /dh/302;ms0:/dh/302/f0, /dh/302:ms0:/dh/302/f1
Remote: remote ctrl
PL-addr: 0x89200000
FW ver: 1.05.0001
I am sorry this is so lengthy but I am desperate to find out where I am going wrong and can´t find my answers anywhere..

you need to create a ISO (with capitals) folder in the root of your memory stick to put the isos

i found that there is no point to the umd emulator, all you need is devhook.
as for the 3 boot modes, choose the umd autoload option , that will work

What ?
Why do you have devhook 0.51 and fw3.02 mentioned in the same sentence ?
If you mean 3.02OEA/B then you don't need devhook. However to install 3.02OEA/B correctly you would need to unflash the devhook files first.
If I were you I would remove devhook and get back to a standard 1.5fw then install 3.03OEA. This should sort out all you problems.

I have unflashed and deleted devhook completely, formatted mestick and installed 302OE-A and then upgraded to B. I was unaware that there now is 303. My psp system settings show that I am using 302OE-B, so I guess the install went ok. I still can´t get any game to work. I´m lost here, will installing 303 change anything? Also tried a different memstick, no change. See the game, start it and I just get a black screen...

Create a folder called ISO in the root of your memory stick and put your iso's in there, then just launch from the XMB. Thats all there is to it.
Some games may not work if you have "no umd" enabled in the recovery menu, and no UMD in the drive.

I have solved the problem although I am not clear on what the problem actually was: i have been using a 2Gb memstick that I was able to format and transfer to, so I figured it was ok. Since I tried literally EVERYTHING and the game wouldn´t load, I used a 1Gb stick that I had and the game DOES load. How is this possible? Can a memstick be partly faulty, doesn´t mak any sense...
