You don't need to spend a dime!
For ripping you can use RipIt4Me and for burning, You can use ImgBurn. Both are free.

99% of all problems are between the computer and the chair.

well what exactly are you intending to do? just copy your original dvds ? if you want a hassle and complex free troubles get AnyDVD and clonedvd2 all you do is pop dvd in click like 3 times and set it and forget it , while ripit4me is great but it requires mutiple programs and more time and since you mentioned price wont be an issue then hey http://www.slysoft.com/en/ is calling your name :P

I totally agreed. No need to spend a dime. Here's why?

RipIt4Me (one of the best ripper aka "The God of Ripper")
DVDFab Decrypter (another flawless ripper)
ImgBurn (one of the best ISO or VIDEO_TS burner from LUK)
DVD Decrypter (ISO burner from LUK, extremely good ripper with RipIt4Me)
DVD Shrink (one of the best FREE transcoders)

Other useful tools:
VobBlanker
FixVTS.

I think im screwed. I purchased Intervideo Platinum DVD Copy 5. I originally wanted an application to be able to rip audio chapters from copyrighted dvds so i can convert them to mp3 tracks. Well it has all the features except.... However, and this is a huge however, it will not rip copyrighted cd's which is precisely what i needed it for. Is there anything i can do to make this work? Did i just blow 65 bucks? Please help. Totally distraught here. Should i have bought a xilsoft product instead, or is there a way around this problem? Im just freakin out. Help a brotha out please. Thanks
Ive been looking all over the forums for some way to do this.

Feel free to email me

If you are having any issues installing RipIt4Me, use the RipIt4Me installer (307kb), which installs RipIt4Me and FixVTS. Remember to have DVD Decrypter v3.5.4.0 and DVD Shrink v3.2.0.15 already installed.

That was from the ripit4me site. Just for clarification - I only need to install ripit4me to rip the dvd to my hard drive, then install imgburn - then insert blank dvd and run imgburn and go to town, right?

Sweet! I got a new computer. Except it's a dell, dumb dumb dumb .. . . . . . . . . . . .

Both of my GUIDES are laying right there if you needed any helps.

RipIt4Me will rip any DVDs/movies and ImgBurn will burn any VIDEO_TS or ISO flawlessly. However, you'll still need to transcode your backup with DVD Shrink in order to fit onto a DVD-R or DVD+R perfectly.
