Hey, I came across this article about a p2p network called blubster that is supposed to make it nearly impossible for the riaa to track you down. Has anybody tried it? Is it true about there being no way of being traced by the riaa or similar groups. I here that the only set back is that it has a lot of Gator software. Any suggestion would be appriciated. The article where I saw it is http://www.cdfreaks.com/news/7427

Back in the day when I installed DivX v5.0.2 Pro, Gator Spyware was also installed to my PC. To get by the Gator Software all you had to do was delete the file Gain_trickler_3202.exe and Gator would no longer run. If you messed with the registry settings though, then DivX would not run either.
From the many reviews of this software this trick will not work since the new version of Blubster checks for the Gator executable before it will initiate. I also understand that Blubster only checks for the software names and not the file size, so the Gator software should be able be avoided by deleting the Gator executable and replacing it with some other executable and renaming the new executable with the gator file name.
I know I dont want to try this method out as Gator Spyware is very, very annoying.
In addition the new Blubster adds tons of other spyware so be sure to run Ad-aware after installation.

As or anonymous downloads, just be sure you know what type of information you give Blubster as there is a line of fine print that any information you give them can be disclosed to any third party which includes the RIAA. You better not send Blubster an email at any point and possibly use a proxy to connect.

I am not too anxious about trying the newest version. As a matter of fact, I think I might just stick with my "suck the life out of my system resources" Blubster v2.0. At least I wont be bound by their new user agreement.

Ok, thanks I'll probably just stick with Kazaa Lite then.
