PSX Game on PSP Question

I downloaded the PSX version of Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo and I used psx2psp to convert it for the PSP. Although it runs absolutely fine, the screen does not fully stretch vertically (see pic).
(Picture is only photoshopped but that's how it looks on my PSP)
That's in "Normal" screen mode. "Original" shrinks it vertically even more, and "Full Screen" just stretches it horizontally. No matter what, it's not fully stretched vertically. Is this how it is for all PSX games?
Also, on the XMB, I'd like to note that the picture icon for this game is Hot Shots Golf.
I don't have any other PSX games to test it but I'm just wondering if these things are normal.

yh i think there is a problem with the screen, buti think you need to be on OE-B to fix this. Also is your game PAL or NTSC? if your game was a ISo use popstation.

I'm already on 3.02 OE-B.
Can't say it's really NTSC. I just downloaded it and there weren't any readme's or nfo's, but filename states it's NTSC.
I'll give Popstation a try and see if that one works better.

yh, pop station should off come with OE-A insatller and the OE-B insatller..

Well I just used Popstation and after it goes to the initial "precaution" screen...screen just stays black and nothing's happening.
I used CLEAN Popstation. Would it help if I used another version or something?

Ooops, nevermind. The ISO was corrupted.
It runs okay now...but the screen is still not fully stretched. So is that how it really is?

can someone post how to use popstation and how to get psx games with oe-b? my popstation doesnt seem to work or maybe i dont know what im doing. i have popstation.exe and cygwin1.dll in my folder. am i missing anything?

by the way you are missing quite a few thins, the eboot of hot shots golf, which should be renamed to base.pbp and pasted into the popstation folder,also the keys.bin of hot shots golf which should be pasted into the folder

this one allows you to convert your psx games to eboots, you can also insert your own images so you dont have to see that damn hot shots golf and can have more than one game on the mem stick at once, you can also change the game id and save game id so that multi disc games can work together, and in order to strech the screen just press the home button when playing a game and select screen size, you will notice that the home menu in a psx game is alot different that the home menu in a psp game, let me know how it turns out
