With the flip top cover on my PS2 SCPH-50001 and Swap Magic 3.6 I was able to backup Smackdown vs. Raw '07 and GTA Liberty City Stories following the fantastic guide step by step by Takijin using Alcohol 120%. I tried both Verbatim and Office Depot 16x DVD+R's and what worked the best for me was the Office Depot. Verbatim would spin and not read whereas the Office Depot would load right up with no problem. I'm also gonna pick up some high quality 8x DVD+R's since its been said here they work better than 16x. Should I stick with Office Depot or not? I also tried to backup Scarface but had no success.

office depot works better than verbatim? seriously? u should get that one program "dvd identifier" and find out who manufacturers the office depot dvds. They may be good quality, which would explain why you prefer them; but most likely they aren't. i burned some games on crappy media that has worked fine, but playing them will wear out your laser (so i've heard.) if you're gonna pick up new dvds, i would definitely recomend taiyo yuden.

Yeah, I cant explain it but the Office Depot Disks worked alot better and it didn't really seem to put alot of strain on the laser. Verbatim just wouldn't work at all, I dont know maybe its my system. I'm gonna pick up some Taiyo Yuden 8x DVD+R's since they seem to be the popular pick.
