Somehow this IRC flood virus got to my computer, and i deleted it by sending it to the recycling bin, then emptying the bin. The BAT/Generic appeared in an AVG scan, which i deleted manually too.

So, if anyone could please look over my scan to find anything wrong or suspicious, i would appreciate it very much.

Thanks.

Also, beneath where it says "Logfile of Hijack this," there is "platform." The reason why i'm using Service pack 1 instead of 2 is confusing to me. I was updating to service pack 2, and then my computer rebooted. Before logging on, my computer said something like: "update was aborted." Then once i logged on my pc said that i should uninstall the partial service pack 2. During the uninstall process of service pack 2, the uninstall wizard said "these programs might not work or function," and "these hardware might not work or function." Under the 2 categories were every program i installed, and every piece of hardware inside my computer.

So, should i uninstall the partial service pack 2, despite the chance of everything on and in my computer not working???

Thanks again.

Hey ravens1, apologies for the slow reply.

First, your HjT log is clean and looks very good. Second, yes, go ahead and uninstall the partial SP2, then let's make sure the computer is clean.

Go here to run Kaspersky Online Scanner.
Accept the terms.
After downloading, click "My Computer" to scan.
After scanning, click "Save report as".
Save as a text file on the desktop.

Post the log in your next reply if anything is found. If not, attempt to install SP2.
