Whenever I try and burn a PSX game or PS2CD game (something CD based) with IMGBurn, I set it to verify + burn ** and I get a lot of disc errors (disc errors on verify). I play the disc in my PS2 console and some of the game is smooth (eg, menus) but gameplay feels like 7fps.
When I get the disc errors there are so many I can hold down the enter key on yes (yes - do you want to continue to verify the disc?) for ages, there really are a lot.
** verify + burn will burn the disc, cycle the tray and read back the data to test for errors.
I can burn PS2DVD discs wo/ any trouble or errors
I have 2 drives (NEC 3550A + BenQ 1650) both bring up errors
I've tried using Nero 6, Nero 7 and Ultra ISO to burn the disc
I have tried different blank CD-R media (Plasmon, CMC, Verbatim)
Tried on a different computer also
I also tried download the games and using thier rips - same
I have only recently started burning - so I can't say if it's just occured
I have the latest firmware, software and all my updates
Maybe try a lower burn speed, 24x might be too fast. When I burn a DVD for PS2 I burn at 1x speed and that has definetly helped in the quality of my backups.
