Can't connect with my Xbox

I want to connect to my Xbox and can't. I have the network set propperly, but when I ping the Xbox IP I get no response. Any help would be appreciated. Tx

Keep your eye on this thread as I am having the same problem.

Post your settings there as well. It may well help to work out what our problem is.

you using a cross-over cable?

Hi I have the same problem. I can ping my xbox and it shows as an lan connection at 100Mbs My problem is I have a dynamic ip. I was able to connect only once.
