OK, so I made some backups of different discs. I want to use these when we travel, so we dont have take the origs with us. BUT... while the burned copies work fine on my PC and on my DVD player, they do not work on the protable DVD player!

I am using Shrink and DVD Decryptor, most of the time. A couple of them, I had to use DVD Fab due to scratches and bad sectors.

I have a LiteOn 1693 with original firmware (?). I have Verbatim 8X DVD-Rs. What different things can I try to get them to work on the portable (Polaroid PDM0723).

Would it matter if:

-go from max to 4X writing (didnt work tho)
-go lower? 2x?
-use Nero to burn instead?
-use imgburn to burn?

help!!!

Since they play on your home player, it is probably the brand of discs you're using are not compatable with your portable.

You could also try switching to DVD+R media and then changing the "booktype" to DVD-ROM. This is the most compatable format and 99% of DVD players will play these.

You can set this in Decrypter:
