Rec'd a DVD-R which has a movie of our trip to ireland that I would love to get pictures out of... It was created using moving maker however it is a VOB file and I can't import it into movie maker to try and obtain pictures... any ideas on how to do it? Or can it even be done?

Thanks

Are you trying to convert the file or are you trying to capture still images from the file?

I'm not sure which way is best, my main goal is just to get pictures for a photo album.. any help you can provide would be great! The DVD-R is loaned to us and we don't have a DVD burner

To get stills, you can use PgcEdit or VobBlanker.
You can also play the file in Media Player Classic. Pause and File?Save.

you can use PowerDVD and pause it and take a snap shot of what you are looking at! or you can use any dvd viewing program .... pause to what you want and then use SnagIt or PrintScreen and save as a jpg! what ever works best.
