I just bought a chip for my GC because I just figured backing up games would be as simple as copying and burning onto a mini dvd. Ive searches (a lot) and it seems that GC games are almost impossible to backup, so whats the point of even getting a modchip? Is there any way of doing this without a BBA and PSO? How does the Quoob Pro backup games? And Can the Viper GC backup games without a BBA?

Yeah I know.. Lol.. I thought I knew a thing or 2 abought bcking up games. Have the PS2 and Xbox covered, never thought nintendo would pose a problem.. lol. anywyays, the viper GC extreme chip says it can make backups without additional hardware, im trying to figure out the procedd, If i can make backups with that chip easily, then I'll just give this chip to my friend and get that one, that way we'll be able to share games that I make with the viper.

i have the viper gc extreme chip. its a very good chip. i use the cobras 1.6 bios and it works 100%. though, you need the good dvdr's to burn games onto or it wont work well.

anyways, the viper gc extreme comes with a usb thing that you can use to back up your gc games. the viper gc chip also does it with the parallel port. get it while you can!

Your choice for GC backups are as follows:

BBA & PSO exploit
Mod chip with an external port
Mod chip that allows you to run dols, & a bba
SD Loader & BBA
Max Drive Pro & BBA

though, someone could right a program that would let you dump the game onto a SD since SD are big enough now (2 gig or bigger).

Or, just download the backups off internet, easist way. Let others do the hardwork.
