So I've had a slim PSTWO for a long time now and with my recent next generation purchases I want to start using my model no. SCPH-70012 PSTWO to play emulators for my ROMs.

I'd like to know the easiest way to go about this, I'd like to avoid swapping disc if possible but any tutorials on the matter would be great.

First to avoid your ps2 laser from burning out like the rest of the people, get the "Comsoft" Fix in it. Second, your journey on getting the emulator starts here

Thanks, I actually have been doing a lot of research on these boards. I am just curious, this may sound dumb but can I play emulated systems with say a MATRIX INFINITY chip?

any modchip that plays burned discs should be able to play
emulator discs.
If a Matrix Infinity will not, being one of the best chips out there,
then i doubt any would.

before the expense of getting your modchip and PS2 modded just to play emulated games you may want to look into a modded Xbox
See what the cost difference would be.
A modded Xbox has more emulators and games then any one person
could ever need.

I'll second the modded X-Box for emulators and such.

Your particular PS2 can use a hard drive, something worth doing if you don't mind spending an extra $60 for HD Combo or the like. Also make sure you get a laserfix to avoid burning it up.
