hi all just registered and having trouble with my ps2, after playing for about 5 mins the machine turns off. the power light turns red and flashes for a min then stays red. any ideas?

Hey I had this same problem yesterday after my ps2 fell from a shelf about 4 feet high. I'd start playing and after a few minutes it would turn off and the red button would just be blinking. I also hear a wierd clicking noise that i had never heard before. So i opened it up to see what it was and one of the blades on the fan had been bend and when it tried to move it got stuck so the ps2 wasn't able to cool down and turned itself off because it was overheating. So i just took put the one blade and then it worked. I hope that helps! I made an account on here just to post this to try and help someone else lol
