HELP PLEASE READ

Ok so I downloaded Xtreme Firmware and then extracted the MTKFLASH.exe and the other file you need, then I made a bootable floppy, so i go to connect to my xbox to get the orgin.bin but it wont connect, it says port 170 and something after it, i have the sata ports already on my motherboard, i also tried disconnecting all ide and sata like my cd drive and my harddrive but still no luck. Can anyone please help me, i spent about 4 hours on it and it is driving me crazy, I already got the necessary programs after that i just cant get my orgin.bin file.

I typed mtkflash r backup.bin

i also tried mtkflash r /s /sata orgin.bin

no luck on both kept on saying that port thing. PLEASE HELP

Don't you think you would get more help if your thread title told people what you are asking about? Some people here won't click on that type of thread title, and Creaky will close it when he sees it. I suggest editing it to say what you need help with.

well your probably going to have to buy a sata card and try that, thats the best thing i can tell you, did you turn of raid?

There should be a little icon that looks like a pencil and piece of paper on the right side of the screen in the two colored lines. That is the edit button.

mike1129,

if your onboard sata raid contoller is not listed on the compatability list, then you must purchase a PCI sata card that is on the list. Please don't ask what's on the list => DO RESEARCH & READING!

Then you must go into your computer bios and turn off all ide & onboard sata raid controller and boot from a floppy disk.
