my playstation 2 wont make a move help

when i turn on my playstation 2 it turns on .but it doesnt do anything
it only shows the title screen where it says browser...why is this happening??
you get the point and my brother removed the piece left of the fan ,does this have to do with it??what is the peice called,and where can i get it?
help please

What version ps2 is it, and can you describe what exatly he removed? What is the fan plug?

it very well could be what your brother removed.
Unless you can find a picture of it or something there is no way to tell what it might have been.

On one sides, theres the fan plug, which goes to the fan, if you are not what he removed, just locate the wire, is the wire from the fan going into a docket into the motherboard, if its not the fan wire he removed. Then its the clock battery, which is nearer to the drive assembly, is this what you are talking about? The small round but covered with some plastic insulation, with a small wire coming out of it?

No its not round look on the left of the fan do not take your playstation2 apart
just look at the fan
then loo to the left a black rectangele cover thats what he removd
what is suppose to be in there??

i dont see anything black, apart from the controller ports, if you get a pic uploaded it will be real easy to solve the problem.
