2.71 TA-082 Downgrader for Australians

hi, i have recently bought a psp here in australia. and i have realised that my firmware is 2.71 with a mobo of TA-082. what software can i use that will be the easiest to downgrade my psp to 1.50 and enable me to play iso's off the memory stick. also i would like the method to be safe so i dont brick my psp. is all the software used, even for american psp's that downgrade them alright to use on ones sold in australia?

yep theyll work, go to www.psp-hacks.com and search for the ta082 downgrader, there are even some threads for this, search the forums

the risk is always there. but follow the instructions and it should be good. my psp is the same with ures and i did it all real quick without problems.

i used this guide, just follow the steps there. u can download the easy installer from psp-hacks.com if that link doesnt work for u. be sure to read through the forums if u're unsure.

when i format the memory stick, is it connected to the usb>then the pc and when i run the installer is the psp on?. sorry for the lame questions i really need to be sure.

just link ure psp and pc via the usb connection. and install the files into ure memorystick drive. it can be seen as "removable drive" on my computer just check the alphabet.
