0okm has released a 2.80 to 2.71 downgrader for motherboard models TA-079 all the way through TA-086.
Once successfully downgraded you may proceed to FW 1.50 by using one of the supplied downgraders. TA-082 owners, ensure you use Dark_AleX?s TA-082 downgrader to avoid bricking your unit.

Works great for me (sucesfully downgraded!). Tutorial included in RAR!
