Is it possible to stream movies from my computer with Windows XP or do I have to have Windows Media Center Edition? I tried adding movies to my Media Player Library hoping they would work like the music but so far I have not had any success.

there is a program called Tversity which I think works. Haven't tried it though.

You don't need MCE (Media Center Edition), but you need to update to Windows Media Player 11 or the new Zune Media Player. Also, you will only be able to stream .WMV files. I have a dual band (A + G) Linksys router with an xbox 360 upstairs and a second xbox 360 downstairs both sharing the A band. Both can stream at the same time! FYI: You will also need to get the fall update for the xbox 360 when logging into xbox live.

I have WMP 11 and I can stream the music but the xbox won't find any of the movies, even the .wmv files.

Have you downloaded the fall update to the xbox 360? Video will not work until the 360 has been updated.

Ok, I finally got it to work. Is it possible to convert other movies such as DivX and XviD to wmv?

You have 2 options:

1. Use an on-the-fly transcode program that converts most formats to WMV. I would suspect this will drastically slow a computer down. Also there would be a longer delay before the movie starts to play.

2. I believe there are programs that will convert XviD and DivX to WMV. I use TMPEGExpress to convert from DVD to WMV but it is compatible with many other formats.
