PSP 1.5 running firmware from Dark_Alex for psx queries

Hi guys, i know you get pretty pissed at posts like this but i really need help, ive had different advice from people about how to do this all kind of sending me round in circles! So ive decided to start fresh and hope you guys can point me in the right directions.

I currently have a White PSP 1.5, ive had it since may and have been running games nicely with devhook etc. My friend told me about the breakthrough with playing psx games now and im really interested. He told me i have to upgrade my firmware, then upgrade to dark_alex's version, then other people have said dont upgrade but patch 1.5. Im getting confused.

So if anyone could tell me in a round about way, what i should do with a 1.5 to play PSX games on it, that would be really helpfull!

if your psp is not a ta-082 then you can update straight to oe-a then oe-b.
i'm not sure about ta-082 psp's?

ok easy to do all you do is upgrade to this: 3.03oe-adownlaod it here.. http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/960 follow a guide here to install it...

then upgrade the 3.02oe-a to 3.02oe-b by downloading this.. http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/978

then follow guides to get the psx game son to your psp!.

OE-B allows you to run your own converted PSX games on your PSP (as opposed to official Sony ones).

To install it and use 3.02 OE-A/B see my guide:

Cheers for the help guys, I followed eternalis's guide and when ive flashed my psp and installed the 3.02a and manually restarted it i get an error message which asks me to press O to repair system, is this right or have i dont something wrong?

Ok Guys, i got myself a little problem here, ive just downgraded from 2.8 to 1.5, now i wish to upgrade to 2.02 nd then up from there 2 the latest custom firmware, can i please have rxact instructions how to because i tried follwing Dark laex's instructions but im stuck;

- Get the 1.50 and 3.02 sony updaters in the oeupdmaker folder with the names "150.PBP" and "302.PBP".

- Run the program. This program won't write to the flash, it will just create a file called DATA.DXAR in the
same directory (oeupdmaker).

- The program will verify that the SHA-1 of the generated file is correct.

- Once that you have done this, you can save the DATA.DXAR file to skip this step in the future.

I dont understand, how do you run that, nd what do you copy into the ouepdmaker folder??
