My father bought a new panasonic dvd recorder/vcr combi recently. It worked fine for a few weeks but the other night he tried to use a data disk (panasonic) and it is now stuck in machine with U99 displayed. He has tried a reset holding ch up and down buttons together as weel as leaving unplugged overnight but no joy.Any ideas anyone

U99 in all Panasonic dvd recorders is caused bu power supply problems
If you are in the U.K. ring Panasonic help line and they will give you the number of the nearest DSNetwork dealer who can undertake the repair

Thanks I actually took off the lid and removed the disc which was stuck in the machine and this cured the problem
