Unable to defragment disk

M not able to defragment my disk, it givs an error message tht "Chkdsk is scheduled to run on volume:(D):, Please run Chkdsk /f." How can i solve it?

A check disk and a defragment are not the same thing. A check disc will check the disc for errors and a defragment will do just that defragment the drive. At some point your system must have figured that your f: drive may have a problem. Chkdsk /f where the /f tells check disc to go ahead and try to fix any problems it may find. You can do a chkdsk with out the /f option.
