Help!! I have the same problem. The first few files I loaded on to it were fine!! After that everything is format error.

(I know - you get what you pay for..:) - but there must be a way to make this thing work - since it did at first...)
Thanks

Did you use iTunes to sync/transfer music? I think thats the only best way to do it.

Thanks Bigpete. However, I wish it were that simple. These things are NOT really IPODs. When I plug it into the USB, Itunes does not recognize it as a "device" So I can't sync. Using other programs like Media Player or musicmatch, or from my drive I can get the songs on. Actually the first one I tried was perfect. However since then, almost anything I try to put on gives me a "format error" and won't play. Somewhere along the line the format is beig changed or distorted. So now I have about 5 songs on the thing that play and the rest with the error.

thanks.

Me again...

There is a previous thread on this.
http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/436349#2698676

So i tried to reformat like it said. Now it turns out that the thing only has 108MB of memory - probably always did. When I loaded a CD on to it - it now only plays 10 seconds of each track and then goes on to the next one.

At least if it played the whole thing - since it is less that 108 MB it would be of some use. (not much). Does anyone know if anything can be done.

Doing some Googling shows that this problem is not unique to me.

So unless someone has some other solutions - I guess the thing is pretty well useless and you get what you pay for - or less.. :)

Sahil,
Well - you are doing better than I am. Mine will take about 20 songs. However, when I try to play them only 10 seconds of each plays and then it goes to the next one. The songs are all there - I can play them on the computer - but for some strange reason they go exactly 10 seconds when I play on the player.

I am resigned to live with 20 songs - if they could only play.

OK - I solved that one. I played with the menus in the music mode abit. The setting on the "repeat" menu was set to play intros only... Changed it to Normal.

So at least I can play 20 songs - which is better than what I was expecting at the start of today.

Thanks
ra
