Has there been many xbox360 DVD drive firmware updates? Is this statement true?

Constant firmware updates (30+ so far)

Yes this is true. According to 360Mods there have been 30+ firmware updates, and there will probably be more. If you don't like to open your 360 everytime a new firmware comes out, you could go with the Blaster 360. It's pricy at $69.99, but it saves the hassle of opening your 360 everytime there is an update. With this you open up the system once, and that's it. Pre-Orders are going on now.
