flashing x360 am I good to go?

Hi

I have a Hitachi dvdrom drive, on the back of the x360 near power supply the dated shows as 2006-04-01 so its before august.

Ive got the Team Xecuter Connectivity Kit.

and I have downloaded Maximus-Garyopa_XTRM-HITACHI_v2_3_Stealth_Rev2

can I now go ahead and flash my drive using the sata connection on my AMD computer. Can I still go ahead or do I need to use a pentium computer with a via-vt6421a pci sata card?

Am I good to go?
