When ever I dump my original firmware, and complete the checksum the checksum is never right. I have used like 10 different movies and some times my drive key will change and some times just be 00's. I also clicked continue when checksum didn't match, and ended up with like 30 or more sectors to patch. Anyone have any ideas what I am doing wrong here?

If your using 360 firmware toolbox ver 3.0, in the rar file there was also fc.dat file which needs to be unzipped also for firmware update to work

There are 360fwtb.exe and fc.dat in the folder, but I believe I have found what the problem is. I am using sil chipset, and have found that they have trouble dumping firmware. I was reading a flashing tutorial and someone said that the sil 3112 chipset works 100% with hitachi drives. I found out the hardway that he doesn't know what he is talking about wish I would have done a little more searching.
