Ok guys, I have always used AnyDVD + DVDShrink combo, but now that I bought CloneDVD too, I was wondering which of these two programs will give me the better quality for MOVIE ONLY.
1.DVDShrink with Deep Analysis + AEC Sharp (Default)
or
2.CloneDVD
I don't care much about the encoding time, I just want the best possible picture quality.

Thanks,
As far as transcoders goes, nothing else beat DVD Shrink, except Nero Recode. So you're better off with DVD Shrink.

i have them both, and use them both, clonedvd2 to reathor without compression and shrink or recode2 to compress. recode2 and shrink, in terms of picture quality, are the best TRANSCODERS there are.
Oh ok... Well I'm still on Nero 6 (latest 6 version) because of the Nero 7 horror stories, but I still have Recode 2. Should I use it instead of Shrink? What settings to use?
DVD Shrink is one of the best program's out there.
Also, it is freeware software. Why pay for software when the freeware version is just as good, or even better?

I got CloneDVD at a really good combo+christmas sale... I also liked that I could keep movie only and still have the menu.

If you rip the movie with RipIt4Me you can rip the Full DVD. This means that you back up everything, including all menu's, trailers & extras.
After ripping, RipIt4Me automatically opens the files in DVD Shrink.
RipIt4Me is free software and can be downloaded from http://www.ripit4me.orgDVD Shrink is also free!
This is a full free method for backing up all your purchased DVD's!
