I get a disc read error for bully

all my other games work, i burned bully with DVD Decrypter and it says disc read error. Then i tried it on a ps2 emulator for pc and it worked, how can i fix this?

Are you using a mod-chip in your ps2, you will need to burn bully on a good quality dvd, verbatim would so, it should work anyway, is the disk scratched, ps2 lasers are not as powerful as computer lasers, they have difficulty reading every type of disk.

are all the other games that work back up copies?
And did you use the same type of disc you used for Bully?
What brand and speed are the DVD's you use? (Taiyo Yuden 8X DVD-R)
Also how do you boot your back ups?
There can be many causes to why a game will not load.

no, i was gone for quite a while. But like everything else i got over my problems and moved on. There were just too many unanswered posts and misinformation flying around so i just decided one day to start answering them again.
Plus i do feel a little loyalty to the site since this is where i came to learn pretty much of what i know, even if those people are no longer around.

I have copied Bully and Tom clancy's Splinter cell double agent. I am not able to copy the already copies no matter what I try. I have gone through 5-6 blank dvd-r's with no luck. I used DVD Decrypter (iso read- Iso write) and Nero in an attempt to copy. I have latest drivers and firmware for my devices. Anyone know the deal? Why am I unable to copy copies?

I am using Fujifilm dvd-r's... I have copied 6-7 movies with this reem with no problems... Should I try different media? Should I re-decrypt a different way? Any advice would be great since now 3 out of 5 games I have attempted have failed and I am tired of wasting discs.

movies and games are two different animals, movies work on just about any old disc. Games on the other hand will not. Theyrequire a good DVD. I have never used Fuji discs so you may want to check a DVD media quality list online to see how they rate.
Taiyo Yuden, Philips, & Verbatim (8X DVD-R) always work form me.

if it's an old one, have you tried adjusting your laser? i had the same problem myself a while back, and ended up buying a new console before i figured out that was what was wrong. i adjusted my laser, and now it works better than my new one. it's a long process to write, but here is a edited by ddp to a "How-to". good luck.
