I bought a flip top for my ps2. When i put it on my ps2, it doesnt always work. I recently had it on and when i played ncaa 07 it worked fine, but when i tried to play another game it would give me a disk read error or if it did load the game, it would be laggy and slow. i can hear a clicking sound, like the disk is bouncing around inside. i have replaced the white disk with the original ps2 part. any other options?!?! thats

The click sound normally occurs when the ps2 is unable to read a disk, theres a few reasons why this happens:
-the ps2 laser is getting weak
-the cd trying to be played is of poor quality or is damaged, stressing the laser.
What cd exatly isnt working in your ps2?

yes, could use a little more information. The more you give on the problems the better the help will be.
like:
What brand and speed DVD do you use (Philips 8X DVD-R)
what speed do you burn at and what program you use to burn them
is the PS2 a fat or slim model

A lot of people have had problems with fliptops in the past. A lot of them are just not made well. Like the one i had worked but only after i took the screws out of the bottom (fat model). When they were in then it was too tight and the discs would not play.
Other people i know had one that would not play unless they put a small amount of weight on the fliptop, like a paperback book.

if you have a fat model you could alwys reinstall the stock top
and try using a slidecard instead. It is harder and more of a hassle so i would try to see if you can get the fliptop working first.
here is a guide for making a slidecard, and how to use it.
