NEWBIE CANNOT PLLAY BACKUPS

I have swap magic and the relevent tools and manage to get to the part where the game loads. My problem is now that it is very jumpy and in most cases will not play. Backup CD's work fine but DVD's will not work.

I have Verbatim media and recorded on X4 using Alcohol and Nero. Still No Joy. Please Help.

My PS2 is SCPH-77003. Bought new at Christmas for my daughter.

try using DVD Decrypter or IMGburn to burn the ISO instead of Nero
See if that works better.
4X would be the best speed for most media both 8X and 16X
other than that possibly cleaning your laser could help, but read some information before you do it so you know what to do and what to use.
